Round Top Aluminum Frames
At Church Stained Glass Windows, our aluminum frames are engineered to hold stained glass and insulated glass. Ventilation within the frame prevents heat buildup and condensation between the stained-glass window and the insulated glass. Colors include standard dark bronze and white. Custom colors and finishes are available for an additional cost.
Wood Frames
Church Stained Glass Windows recommends exterior wood frames made with plantation-grown mahogany or the heartwood of Eastern White Pine. Both are 100-year exterior quality woods that with proper maintenance can last more than a century.
The client can choose the desired finish. For paint grade finishes, we recommend Sherwin-Williams Duration® Coating which lasts 25 to 30 years on new wood and only requires standard painting processes to refinish when required by time.
Custom Aluminum Frames
Our craftsmen can replicate existing wood frames with aluminum extrusion. Most “daylight” lines can be retained using a combination of extrusion and sheet metal. Our aluminum framing is made to hold stained glass and insulated glass panels. A thermal barrier is incorporated in these extrusions to prevent heat and cold transfer from one side to the other.
Light Boxes
Church Stained Glass Windows’ energy-efficient LED will beautifully illuminate your stained glass from within. Our high-tech LED panels allow for the manufacture of light boxes as thin as 2.125″ with our standard aluminum extrusion frames. Additionally, we can design and fabricate a wood light box as thin as 1.75″ for your special needs. Our high-efficiency LED panels are rated for up to 50,000-70,000 hours usage so there are no light bulbs to change.
Aluminum Louvered Vents and Bird Screens
Church Stained Glass Windows’ vents and bird screens are engineered to shed rain and environmental elements. Colors include standard dark bronze and white. Custom colors and finishes are available for an additional cost.
